Despite my German not being the best, I had enough understanding to follow along and complete this class It was a lot of fun, and helped me, as a beginner in gouache, to learn and understand more about how to mix and apply the paint, and how to build depth in my painting.

As I usually paint individual subjects in watercolour, it felt very satisfying to cover the canvas area in this dark colour

 

Here's my final result! You can see some of my notes to myself in my sketchbook. I keep it like a diary so I can look back and understand what I was learning, what I found difficult, and what I enjoyed. 

 

I definitely recommend this class. This class has inspired me to want to create more paintings in this style, and when I have some time, I'll definitely be playing around with ideas!
