Highland cow
I did a page of textural exploration and also tried a basic sketch of the shape to get "warmed up" before starting my proper sketch on the next page. That was excellent tuition - getting us practising different textures first, even if my effort was a bit rushed and scrappy, it gave me confidence to go for it on my sketch. I loved working on such a cute, highly textured animal (made a huge change from all the cats I've been trying to draw!). I then got really carried away and next to my pencil sketch I had a go with some Graphik line marker pens to create a completely different effect.
