Hi David,Thanks for sharing these beautiful photographs. Photographing random people on the streets can be nerve-wracking, but having a conversation first can help break the ice. Aside from the first photo, it seemed that the subjects were aware of your presence; hence, the images feel a bit more intimate than the first one, which feels spooky or stolen.I understand street photography relies heavily on the photographer stealing candid moments and hardly getting noticed. However, the best ones have found creative ways to be close to the action and not get caught.Across the photos you shared, I see themes and similarities in your esthetics, love for people and solitude.Thank you! I try to strike up a conversation with my subjects to let them know I'm not a threat.  Sometimes I take candids but for the most part I will at the very least make eye contact and nod and smile.

I used to avoid photographing people so a few years ago I made a concerted effort to make street portraits in downtown Seattle.
All images are analog shot on 120 Fuji Acros film and home developed and scanned.
