Snow Globe Animation

This was such a lovely class to complete jut before Christmas, it really got me in the festive spirit. I only used Procreate to do both the illustration and animation which worked really well for me! I thought the way Maja demonstrated how to animate the snow was really simple yet effective!

Ice skater

My first illustration I wanted to focus on ice skating. It has 4 animated elements: the snow, lights, figure and ice track. I think if I were to redo it, I wouldn’t animate the lights as they are over shadowed by the snow.

Snowy landscape

I the. created another illustration of a cabin on a snowy hill. This design gave a few more opportunities to create movement. I chose to create glowing light in the cabin by increasing and decreasing the brightness of the lights. I also wanted to elude to more cosiness in the cabin by animation a storm outside.

The second animation keeps the glowing lights inside the cabin, whilst the stars slowly come out for the night.

I feel like this last animation is too busy. I think the lights on the trees are cute but would have been more effective on a design where they are the focal point. The animation is too too heavy at the top due to animating the moon, moving stars and tree lights, there should be mor balance at the bottom of the illustration.
