For me personally, this class was far too fast paced.

I enjoyed the water-colour bird because I was doing my own thing, but the duck and the gouache ones annoyed me. The more time I spent on it, the worse my mood got.

Without any reference images of what the birds look like, where the shading goes, etc it’s impossible to keep up. I cannot watch and draw at the same time. By the end I was just throwing random colours down and blending them in the hopes it resembles some bird out there, because by the time she said „we’re done with the basic bird colour“ I was still trying to figure out where light/dark goes on the belly. Never mind the rest of the bird. At least with reference images I could’ve worked at my own pace. 

No doubt the teacher is a very talented artist, but for me… no, I couldn’t soak up any new information because it was too fast. Thank you though.
