Hi there!

I decided to take this class to learn how to make patterns in Illustrator!

I already knew how to do them in Photoshop but I loved Illustrator because being vectorized makes it easier to saale the design. I also liked how easy is to play with the color variations with the swatches!

I didn't completely follow the instructions to draw the images, as I had already a watercolor painting of oranges.

Then I created the pattern (although after a lot of frustation because my computer was very slow... It didn't work until I didn't lower the number of colors when tracing).

And finally I played with some variations.

 

I did a quick mock-up of a postcard with some funny variation of the "If life fives you lemons.." quote.

Very happy with the result!
