Here's my Class Project!

Hi there, thanks for taking my class and checking out the class project. Here is my own Project featuring the finished piece, a Mock-Up and the steps that took me to my final illustration. Let me know what you think!

I decided on that one mainly because I thought it had a good central focus point and a couple extra details but the concept didn't look too cluttered or hard to understand for me. 

 

So I continued on to a very rough sketch:

As you can tell this is really just shapes and no details. 

With this a bit more refined sketch, the illustration starts coming together:

Aaand we're already doing linework! Notice how the first in my visual hierarchy is the face - it has the most details and love put into it.

Here you can see my color palette. I wanted to include typical 80s Neon Colors. Also, do you remember the music video for Take on Me? If you've never seen it before, I highly recommend you go watch it for some inspiration :)

A couple final touches, the illustration looks almost finished. Technically you could sell it like that as a Sticker or a print. The background is just a cool addition on top at this point.
