Answer Of Question Type (Agree/Disagree)

There is no denying that unpaid community service is essential for a vibrant and a cooperative community. Few people argue that volunteer work should be a mandatory part of the high school curriculum. I strongly support this point of view because community service not only fosters character of the students at a lower age, but also creates a cooperative society where everyone works together selflessly.

First and foremost, community service fosters character of the students at a lower age by exposing them to real life issues and encouraging a selfless attitude. I recall that when I volunteered to clean up hiking trails of our city, I got to know about the real-life issues faced by the other cleaners who do the task for a very meagre stipend. Doing the community work in cooperation with other classmates and janitor build work ethics amongst the youth.

Moreover, volunteering actively improves one’s community by fostering selfless attitude and inspiring people to develop solutions to problems. Additionally, a selfless attitude is cultivated in students when they voluntarily work just for betterment of the society. When individual with resources volunteer for community service, they can identify and address root causes of problems, making it easier for those involved to carry out their tasks.

Overall, I firmly support that community service is mandatory in the high school’s curriculum, as it leads to a vibrant and a selfless society. This should be implemented all over the World, not just in high school, but also in primary school fostering a civic responsibility from an early age.
