Clarissa, thanks for posting your project, my first reaction to this was "this is cool! So cool!". In more helpful feedback terms, you've captured a moment that moved me in some way. What I love the most about your shot is the texture and proportion of these rough and smooth textures. Also, it's really interesting to see how many forms water can take from smoother deeper hue waves to rougher, brighter almost paint-splatter-type texture. It almost can look like a painting, which draws me into the details a bit more. I don't really have much criticism here. If I were to make one suggestion, (and this is purely experiential, I think this is an effective image as is) I would try to also to even out the horizon line and perhaps crop out or clone out the mountain in the background. And, as I've said, this could be an experiment, to see if it changes the feeling of the image in any way. I say this because the slight diagonal horizon line grabs my attention and brings it to the mountain in the background whereas, if it was flatter and the mountain cloned out, I think it might draw my attention more directly to the main point of interest, the pattern and texture of the waves in the foreground. Then again, I do like how the off-kilter horizon line isn't perfect, complimenting the transforming waves, so maybe I've just changed my mind there :D Awesome shot Clarissa, and thanks for taking the class!

I was trying this with something simple and this came into view and I turned off the grid lines from my phone like you suggested and it came out wonderfully for me. Thank you for taking the time to make this class for us.
