I enjoyed experimenting with the brushes in illustrator, I haven't tried them out before out of fear I think and not realizing the potential of making my artwork look more like the handdrawn images I would like them to. 

Experimented with the background texture in B/W before adding color to the pattern. 

Thank you for a great introduction class to textures - added to my toolbox.
