These are really lovely paintings! I love how you use color and contrast here, your berries are painted so loosely but they also have contrast and rich colors. Especially the raspberry seems to leap off the page. If you like, add one or two detail brush strokes on the strawberry, I think it would look even better and help to define the shape and texture. Did you like the bamboo paper? From what I remember, I found it hard to work in many layers, but for these kind of paintings it is really nice.Thank you for sharing! &lt;3

Yes, strawberry could be improved but I will mess it due to colour lifting. This paper is good when working in one or two layers, new paint and water will activate previous layers… 
Here where I live, store opened with Hahnemuhle paper and I decided to try out all different types they have. I think bamboo is nice for ink and wash, loose sketching…

Ah yes, that's exactly what I thought, the paint will lift off again if you add more layers. But for quick and loose sketching it's fine, you just can't correct anything too much.

I still love your strawberry by the way, the colors and composition are great. :-)

Have fun trying out the Hahnemühle papers. Their Expression paper is really nice for sketching, and it's a cotton paper, too - if you don't mind the light structure it has.

I love cotton paper, it’s whole different dimension compared to cellulose. I find that Hahnemuhle is bit fragile compared to Fabriano artistico, maybe I’m too harsh with brush but it starts to peel when I apply 3rd layer. 
I enjoy experimenting so I don’t mind “flaws”, and I believe that there is no bad paper because you can always use it for different medium or style of painting :)

Yeah, cotton and cellulose papers handle quite differently.
 
I haven't had really excellent results with Hahnemühle's cotton papers and very detailed/layered work either, but I think for more or less loose sketchbook work it's fine. No comparison to Fabriano or Saunders Waterford, but less expensive.

And I completely agree that every paper can shine depending on the style. I always reuse "bad" watercolor paper for ink drawings or dry media. :)

I enjoyed painting these berries, also got chance to try out eco friendly bamboo paper.  Reference images are from Pinterest.
