Had a lot of trouble with these.  The white kept disappearing into the paper, just faded away.  I eventually switched from gouache zinc white to gouache opaque white and that helped.  Apparently zinc is very translucent.  I don't like the gold dots at all.  No matter where I put them, they don't seem to work.   But I rather like the overall feel of the pieces ... very romantic and ephemeral
