In this challenge I used a Sharpie fine point marker, a PaperMate Profile Gel pen and a Posca paint pen for the white dots.

Since I did not have a chunky wide tipped marker I drew the rectangles and coloured them in. Once I started adding dots, I just kept going and then added white dots on top of the black rectangles.

 

In this second piece I used the Sharpie and the gell pen only and mixed up the order.  I added the large sharpie spirals first; then the pen spirals and the sharpie lines. I added the smaller spirals, dots and pen lines last.
