I did not intend the painting to be that vibrant but the turquois was staininig so much that I wanted to make it brighter with salt. Unfortunately I missed the right time to lift the colors in the breastfeathers so it lacks contrast.

 

It is my second bird so far and I enjoyed the painting, so I guess I will repeat it later once more. Thank you for the class, Elina! You have a very relaxed and easy way to teach new techniques, it is fun to try them out.
