Illustrate a Cottage with Me: Two-Point Perspective Study

Hi Tara,So sorry, I didn't see your post sooner! I absolutely love all of your sketches, most especially the last sketch of your cabin built on a slope! You asked if sketching on grid paper would possibly help to prevent the mash of looking down on something that actually should be viewed from below (like the eaves of a house). If you were interested, I would actually recommend, draw a line on a page of sketch paper, and allow that to be your point of perspective - imagine laying on your tummy, and you're looking up at everything. If you don't have time to sketch it, try going to the corner of your house, take your phone out and angle it up from the same perspective you would have if you were on your tummy, and take a few pictures (the closer you are to your house, the more extreme the lines and angles will be, whereas, if you're across the street looking at your house, the angles will be softer), and look at how the angles appear in your pictures. Try take some pictures while you're standing, and also holding your phone above your head, and see how the angles change.Again, I really love your sketches, and if you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask!- Molly
