2026:

I always wanted to come back to this hare as I was not that pleased with the face and the eye - therefore the "my Jouney" challenge was the opportunity I had to finally do it.

So here is the comparison January 2023 vs May 2026:

 

Before I started I had a look at the painting from 2023 - the second washes did not stay inside the line, the neck was bent a little bit too much, the marking in the face were missing and do not get me started on the eye :-)

I tried to really focus on these points...and the hare really improved although I remembered exactly where I struggled the last time. With the new hare I had to take a lot of color out and I were more brave towards contrast.

2024:

Das war wieder ein sehr schönes Projekt von Jane Davies.

 

Ich bin sehr zufrieden mit den Beinen, beim Gesicht hatte ich so mein Thema. Am Ende mag ich den Hasen aber sehr!
