Let Me Be The Moon
Earlier tonight, I was sitting on the balcony staring at the moon... at the same time, on my regular daily sketchbooking I found my prompt for today that I made a while back was "moon phases". I kept on thinking about how fascinating it was that the moon is something that has inspired art for... well... forever and I said out loud. I wish I could inspire other people the same way that the moon inspires in all of its phases.
I kept writing that sentence over and over again refining the copy until eventually I shortened it to "Let me be the moon and inspire (even when I feel incomplete)". It became a sort of mantra as I worked.
You can vaguely see some of the initial drafts of me figuring out layouts and the hierarchy of information here, but its a bit difficult since I use black paper.
I didn't have any micron pens, or other good drawing pens available, so the final didn't quite turn out like it was in my mind... all I have are thick paint markers right now, but I still think it worked out really nicely. Thank you for this class, I learned a lot from watching today.
