I used the paintings I had from a previous watercolor class and made a scattered repeating pattern.   I learned a lot about creating patterns on photoshop.

I can see some areas that need to change but at the present I was happy with the project as a first practice for future projects. 

 

I enjoyed doing this so much I decided to complete a series  (dare i say collection) I was thinking about making a bag and using the one above for the body the green for lining and the green for lining. 

 

 

Then I made a circular pattern with just the buds . I really liked how the stems and nectar spikes made an interconnecting pattern.

Then I did some filler fabrics using the leaf shape and colours from the sketches.  These are the sort of materials I'd use to line straps or pockets.  the full set is below.
