Original character design: I came up with the original design from an aesthetic generator: demon + 1950's. She was inspired by Audrey Hepburn's style, which resulted in a long black dress and short hair.

Using the 5 Techniques: Although the character is cute, I thought her design could be improved by asking questions about her personality and story. As a result, her personality changed to be flirtatious and vain. This personality was due to her being born in a rich, influential family. For her occupation, she was a famous singer! All of these questions changed her design quite a bit. Her purple skin change was due to purple symbolizing royalty, and this character thinks of herself as such. I think the skin color change also helps with moving away from the cliché that demons have bright red skin. Also, I gave her jewelry to show that she has incredible wealth, and I drew a microphone to demonstrate her singing career. The background insinuates that she is on top of a stage. I'm really pleased with the new design and love the dynamic pose.
