After teaching myself to make repeat patterns in Illustrator, I learned that the designs to which I was most often attracted were actually done in Photoshop. As an artist used to working in traditional mediums such as watercolor, gouache, and pastels, I realized that my work was also better suited to this program. This is my first repeat pattern in Photoshop. Of course I see all kinds of flaws, from how I extracted and cleaned my icons, to composition. But overall I am happy with this first attempt, and cannot wait to use this method to create more pattern. Thanks, Melanie for such a well crafted class!
