Watercolours: Learn Layering Technique to make your Flowers look Translucent

Hi Avraham! I agree this technique is quite challenging requires very good water control. You have managed to introduce different tonal values in the petals and got the effect of transparency. It seems that your first layer of petals was smooth, but in the second layer you have used too much water which created a paddle (when it dries it creates irregular shapes). In such cases you can remove/absorb extra water using paper towel or with a dry clean brush.
