My sewing machine had several different zig zag stitch objects, and I wasn't sure which one to work with at first, so I ended up trying a couple of different ones before finding the right one! My straight stitch turned out pretty good, although I didn't realize until I was done that I forgot to backstitch in the beginning, but I did backstitch at the end. I wasn't proud of my first button hole, so I tried again and it came out much better! I struggled with the gathering stitches, but the second one I made next to the first turned out better, so I think I can get there with practice. My blind hem didn't come out too pretty, but I do think it was a fair first attempt. All and all, I definitely think that this class improved my sewing skills, and I can't wait to do bigger projects in the future!
