Well, I did not have the type of ink recommended, so I tried to see if some of the pens that I had a home would work. The Derwent Graphik Line Painter acrylic paint pen worked great, I used it for most of the outlines. I also found that the Kuretake brush bristle no. 13 pen with Platinum Carbon Ink worked well, I used the Kuretake brush pen so the hair and eyebrows. I used a Pigma Micron pen for the finer details of the eyes, nose and lips, it is quite fine, but there may be a place for that. Not so sure that I like the watercolor illustration, it was on Bristol paper, but it was just an experiment....
