The Alice Wonders Font

Well hello,

To be honest, I didn't work with Fontself and Fontlab, but since my process from start to finish falls in the category "neanderthal"ish and did include Illustrator, I'm happy to share my font as a project of this class.

I created 'The Alice Wonders' as part of the children's book I'm working on, and because it took too much time placing every single letter manually (I wish I didn't hang on to that process for so long, but hey). Follow me on @thealicewonders to see the font in action.

If you don't have the tools either, here's how I did it without them:

1. Create each letter + number with a regular pen on paper

2. Take a photo of it and send it to your computer

3. Trace the image in illustrator

4. Save every letter individually as an .svg file

5. Import every character to its respective place on glyphrstudio.com (free)

6. Adapt the spacing if needed

7. Export your font as .otf file

8. Install it to your font library

Et voila. It took me a long time because I don't have any previous experience with fonts, but I hope it saves you time ;)
