Taking some of the traditional patterns from nesting dolls and incorporating owls into the mix.  Used owls with ear tufts (Great Horned, Long-eared and Eastern Screech-Owl) as inspiration.  It was fun to move out from my traditional style of painting owls and flexing some other style muscles.
