I think it is a good start! Your black and light values seem very good overall and you nailed the colors. I love how the red of the hair reflects a little bit into her face. I would recomend some things. Try not to smudge or blend the colors with a textured brush, you are getting too much noise on the skin and it doesnt feel smooth. ALso, try to define more the hard edges, like around the lips, the line that forms between the jaw and the neck, and where the right hand meets the hair, the edges are very soft and noisy, it should be hard edges. In general, never try to paint hair by hair but first try to archive defined clumps of hair, although I think you did a good job defining some but again, you smudged too much some areas. I believe you are doing great and Im glad you learned a thing or two with this tutorial! I recommend watching some of the Gabrielle Brickey courses here on skillshare.Cheers!

My first try following your tutorial.
