I was inspired by this beautiful iris flower that I found during my visit to an amazing iris garden in Switzerland

 

I started off my drawing with a simple line contour

I apply the first layer of paint with the wet on wet technique.

Next, I controlled some edges, deepened values.
I used my watercolor pencils to add textures and refined the iris flower.
To finish the painting I incorporated a background with splattering technique.
