Once again, Charles Yang has produced a course that is crammed with excellent tips and techniques that can improve any artists understanding of what makes interesting imagery. I am combining a few of his classes here. The cat and fish are inspired by his class on creating unique character shapes. What I have tried to show in this work include: using consistent line types for the foreground figures and different lines for the background. repeating patterns. using lots of detail, balancing black and white effectively, balancing pattern types (dots, lines, shapes from his EXCELLENT class on pattern design).  All of his classes kind of combine whenever I draw these days.
