Champagne Valley, South Africa
i took this picture with a friends´ camara, a lumix four thirds sensor, and not with my usual canon 6d and fixed lens as we were hiking light.
i was worried that even in raw i would be limited, but it turns out that if you manage to start with a decent technical picture any camara can bring you an emotive landscape.
this trip was my first attempt at landscape photography, and i feel like it is just the beginning.
following the course´s tools i have used two gradient filters trying to bring back detail from the sky and to guide the eye with light where i want it to be. i struggled with the colours, i have a couple of versions of the same picture because i am not sure if i want it more greeny or more orangey. to be honest i can´t remember what the original image looked like when i saw it with my eyes..
this is the original
