Lil' Becky
I'd like to work with my mom to illustrate her stories, so I need to make my work more reproducible. I chose this character to work with, named 'Becky'. She's meant represent my mom as a little girl :) She has sat in my notebook with a watercolor face, but colorless hair, eyes, etc. for months.
Today I used Copics to finish the rest of her color, and followed Olga's class to rasterize in Photoshop, increasing the saturation and shadows, and erasing the other doodles around her.
In Illustrator, I followed Olga's recommended watercolor preset, and I think she turned out very lively and vibrant!
I also tried the High-Fidelity Photo preset, but it looks too blotchy and just doesn't capture the spirit. Here is that example.
Thanks, Olga for the fantastic instruction!
