When nothing goes right...

This turned out to be a strange case of life imitating art. I really liked the quote, so off I went, drawing it out. Nice.

I happily transferred it using my fancy graphite paper, oblivious to my mistake. I carved away in front of the TV (Doctor Who, if you're wondering.) My first clue was "oh dear, the arrow will be facing right. (Still no alarm bells.) So I carved a thin arrow into the middle. It wasn't until I had finished all the top lettering that I realised what I'd done.

"I'll just give up," I thought.

But then I decided it was actually kind of ironically funny, so I kept going. I decided to toss the larger "go left" and carve a smaller one above the thin arrow.

My brayer is warped so the ink isn't distributing evenly (time for another visit to the art shop) but this is the best I can do for at least another week. I think it's growing on me!
