<p>Thank you so much for sharing Katarzyna! When starting out it is easy to go a little darker than what is observed. I think it just shows how focused you were on capturing all the value in the wrinkles and folds. The fine tuning of finding exact value levels will become easier or more intuitive with practice. That is what I find so thrilling about observational painting. Taking the time to observe and work toward teaching yourself to really see. You are off to an amazing start! I just love the varying cast shadows here. Excellent work!</p>

Thank you so much for this encouraging  feedback. I did notice I work fast, not taking time to really look at the differences between the subject and my canvas. Most likely a habit from watercolour painting :D Oils teach patience and how to slow down. Very therapeutic.
