Heidi this is GORGEOUS! What a lovely painting - great capture of the background grasses and weeds - it really pops out the beautiful poppies you painted. I love it!!! Hopefully you are going to frame this one! I miss my in-person classes as well, however, I do not plan on teaching in person until we have treatment options and hopefully a vaccine available. I'm in the high-risk group, as are most of my students. Better safe than sorry is my motto! And at least we can paint together apart this way! As for the paper the 300# holds more water, and buckles a lot less that the 140# paper, so it makes sense you found the 300# easier to paint on, since we did a lot of wet-into-wet in this painting. Sending hugs to you - keep painting - and hopefully we'll be in the classroom again next year!

I didn't have success until I used the 300# paper.  Tried on 140# and just didn't work as well.  I miss being in your classes.
