I thought the course was great—especially the way you broke down story hooks, the importance of curiosity, and your use of examples. I really liked the focus on storytelling. The only thing I felt was missing were a few more tangible, concrete steps that people could directly apply to improve their shorts and grow their viewers.
The theory behind shorts is really interesting, but even with that knowledge I’m not fully sure how to push my own content further in practice, if that makes sense. A bit more guidance on how to translate the ideas into action would be super helpful.

Hey, I’ve seen your short and really liked both the filming and the voiceover! I can already notice a few points you decided to incorporate from the course, which is awesome! As a short in itself, it works really well! If (but only if) the goal is to maximize views, though, the hook would need to be stronger. For example, instead of starting with “Come with us on a twin adventure in London”, you could try something that teases the curiosity of the main storyline, like: “This London exhibition changed the way we see art…” or "This art exhibition left us (opinion) ..." It gets much more specific right from the start about what the video is really about. But shifting the focus to the exhibition means that some earlier parts (like getting coffee) don’t quite fit the storyline anymore. Next time, you could keep this in mind and capture more footage inside the exhibition itself to really build around that main idea. Of course this could go a thousand ways it really all depends on what the main focus point of the video should be about! I hope this helps! Also, thank you so much for the feedback! I completely understand what you mean. I’ve recently added a few extra classes where I go through my scripts step by step, but I agree that showing more concrete examples of the thought process from idea → story → script could make it even clearer and more actionable. You’re right about the hook and the story being a bit confused—I remember you mentioning in one of the classes that the most important part is the cut, and taking out anything that doesn’t move the story forward. I’ll keep working on that going forward. Really appreciate your help :)

do you have any tips for improving storytelling, and voiceovers (for both short form and long-form content). I am finding this really difficult + really want to improve my content. Do you have a process for improving e.g. looking for 1% gains in each video

The link you sent doesn't work (I think it's from the youtube studio), but from your channel I assume it's the one where it starts with "You need to go to this small London art gallery" First of all, I appreciate the effort and willingness to get feedback on the videos you do. I thought a bit about it and I do see improvement! Let's talk about 2 things: Hook: It definitely intrigues me more! Don't be afraid to be more specific. Because I feel like there are several possible paths the video could take. The hook sets the expectation and if it matches better with the story of the video, the more effective it is. Story: About the "several paths the video could take". I feel like there are a lot of good ideas! However, you just need to choose one. Let me give you some examples: -A general informative video about the gallery (at the beginning you describe where it is like 20 mins from the X station). -Solo date in London: If you follow this idea, then all the food shots are necessary along with the ending thoughts of the video. -Interpretation of the art: This is the middle part where you give your thoughts. You see how there are so many storylines? :) I would say pick one and film more of it! (And scrap the rest of the unecessary footage/lines). If it is about the museum, focus more on filming museum footage and the video can start like:  "I went in with an open mind, even with the audio guide" (with shots of the paintings so that the viewer knows immediately what it is about). There is a thousand ways to start a video, so don't take my answer as the ultimate one, that's why making videos is so unique!
