Loose Yellow Watercolor Florals for Beginners | Series Week 1

Lovely floral illustrations with these yellows and greens, Mari. 🙂

These are lovely, and honestly, I think your daisies are coming along beautifully already. I really like that you allowed yourself to experiment instead of trying to make every flower look exactly the same. That kind of exploration is such an important part of watercolor. Your yellow palette feels cheerful and soft, and I especially love the larger flower on the right page. The loose petals and soft blending in the center give it such a natural watercolor feeling. I also think your layering and brush control are improving nicely. You’re starting to get that balance between softness and enough detail to guide the eye, especially in the flower centers. And experimenting with watercolor and gouache together is a wonderful idea. Sometimes those little experiments lead to the most interesting discoveries. They feel thoughtful, creative, and full of growth. Really beautiful work.

I enjoyed creating these flowers. I experimented on color combinations with watercolor and guache paints. I think my daisies are a work in progress.  Thank you, Brenda for the relaxing class.
