Thanks Melinda, your comments are much appreciated and I always want you to be picky. I got such a kick out of the snow and look at everything from a painting perspective now. Trees, grasses, snow drifts, roots, rocks, fences ... I want to paint it all!!! :-)

Hi Yvonne, thanks for uploading you work here. This is a lovely piece! You should be pleased with yourself. You have captured a really serene cold scene! OK on to the crit: I am going to be picky cause I think you want that. Sky is lovely and soft edged which is good however if that pink spot was a little less regular of a shape it would be even better. Mountains are shaded perfectly and the shapes are OK except as you noticed the ones towards the center which are a bit regular but given the others I think you know what to do. The background hills are a bit opaque but a lovely shape. I like your frosty trees but they could use even more frost so a little more clear water brushing would be good. I think your lost and found edges are perfect! Your grasses are nice and random and they really look sunk into the snow so fantastic job there. Tree is lovely! Shadows are excellent also and yeah to you for cozying in your corner! One more little thing, the width of your background trees and background hills and mountains are very similar...better to have them different. Overall, fantastic job though Yvonne! Enjoy this lovely snowy day! Inspiration!

Hi Melinda, what a great class this was.  I struggled quite a bit with the lost and found edges and the shading of the snow.  This is the umpteenth version... And the mountains look like shark teeth but I will get it eventually.  I feel I learned a lot from this class and I am looking forward to more!
