Fantastic class by Will! I liked being able to keep part of the class loose and expressive, but also some detail work. I had my project finished last night, and added some final details this morning. I am still contemplating if I should have left "well enough alone"! I used Arches, DS paint, and gouache. I am happy with my project, I think the photo washes him out a bit to how he looks in person.

The one reminder to myself (just for my personal art journey) if I repeat this, is that I would like to select a good owl reference photo before proceeding. Will's painting is beautiful, but sometimes I feel like I need to learn to also look at a photo to see how the shadows look, how the feathers lie, etc. I did look at photos near the end of the project but might have planned slightly differently if I would have thought about this first.

This was a great class, very enjoyable and Will's classes are always wonderful and packed with great tips and info!
