Wilting arms

Wilting arms - image 1 - student projectI found this part pretty fun and I enjoyed adding pearlescent colors in the highlight on the pink ball and the blue blob.

Wilting arms - image 2 - student projectThe real takeaway I feel was this guy. He’s like an inexplicable tourist with bronzing sunscreen on his nose, over-excited sunglasses and hat over sweaty hair, and an underwhelmed expression. I love him lol.

Wilting arms - image 3 - student projectI googled Transience since I love that theme in artwork, and noticed a lot of indigo, gold, and yellowy greens. Clouds, far-off lights, rising mist, wilting tendrils.

Wilting arms - image 4 - student projectI most liked this evaporating moon, and I brought back the pearlescent highlight.Wilting arms - image 5 - student project

I liked these willowy arms, like the wilted rose before it, and ended up painting them with the yellowy green and some sienna and Indian red to contrast. I like how they look burning up top and sickly, like they are scorched from above and withering down. I think the color and extra definition up top draws the eye and emphasizes the pose.

Wilting arms - image 6 - student projectI used Kuretake Gansai Tambi for the first time, which took getting used to, and my most hated paper lol. Overall, I’m really happy and when I explain it all together I see how much a really gained from each exercise to the next.
