I used Hayden's original viking illustration and used colour balance in illustrator to change the look and feel of the viking into this:

I used colour balance for the vikings clothes, hair and background separately. I then added an orange tone over the top of the illustration, set to a colour dodge of 30%. It added an overall nice magical feel with high contrast colours.
