This class was great as a beginner using Illustrator, and was really fun to explore a more pared back style than I usually use. 

My brief was to draw an image for a poster for a local Illustration Club taking place on Valentines Day.

I chose sketch 2 as there are more geometric shapes, which would be useful and more time effective when using Illustrator. 

 

Process

Although I'm fairly new to using Illustrator, Jing's tutorial was clear and concise and it didn't take too long to get the hang of things. 

 

Textures

I finished the illustration with textures in photoshop, plus some extra hand lettering and pencil details to give it a more personal style. A super enjoyable tutorial, thanks!
