Unleashed

What a fun class! I've learned so much from Denise and plan on taking more of her classes.  I'm in love with stencils now.

These 4 are the Calla Lily palette. I made initial marks with a Black Inktense Stick on two and a Derwent Dark Wash watersoluble graphite pencil for the other two. For the stencils I used white gesso this time.Unleashed - image 1 - student project

This one is the Ballet Slippers palette and painted with watercolors. I forgot to make marks before painting, so I scribbled with a Daniel Smith Lunar Black Stick while the paint was still wet. I stencilled with mostly gold metallic acrylics. This paint blended alot and came out much paler than the other projects because the colors I used were softer. The pink is Potter's Pink, a new favorite. I think I went overboard with the stenciling.Unleashed - image 2 - student project

These two are from the Rudbeckia color palette, painted with Arteza Gouache. I was surprised at how nice these colors look together. Embellished with Neocolor II's and Prismacolor pencils. Stencilled with titanium white acrylic.

These two are from the Ranunculus color palette. I used an Inktense Charcoal Grey pencil for the initial marks, then watercolors. The black is Daniel Smith Lunar Black in a stick. I'm a big fan of granulation.
