What a beautiful desert scene you have created. I love everything about it. De awesome rocks, absolutely great texture. And the cacti are looking so realistic. Well done!!

The rock texture is fantastic! I also really like the sky and foreground water edge. I think you could add more depth to the rocks by using a cooler color like blue for some shadows, because right now they all sort of blend together a little.

 I really want to learn. Please explain the blue shadows alittle more--I agree they all blend together--do I have to lift some of the dark that i placed or do you just add the blue on top of the dark --oh so many questions--a different blue on each rock?  When you have time to answer!! i appreciate the help

Try using a cooler blue, like ultramarine or cobalt blue (compared to a more turquoise). Try different areas, add slowly, and continue to step back and observe from a distance. It really helps!
