I did this twice and both times the middle of the paper dried much faster. Also, the room I'm in often has multiple fans going. Never even thought about how that affects my painting! I share the space so can not change the fans, but I will be more mindful and may need to add more water or rewet the paper more often to get the effect I'm going for.
