How do you know if it is healthy ? 
Jill how’s talked about even month 1/2, the soil edges of the new growth are completely green, the middle stem is producing new leaves filling in the gap long skinny stem. The plant stays a medium dark green. 

How much light explore does it get? 

Currently it winter in Texas, so my average natural light is between 4-5 hours , I do supplement the light with an over head grow light for 3-4 hours.
