I went crazy on my own looking up images and info on Keith Haring. And, thanks, Klisabeth, for getting me energized to learn more after watching your Google slides! The hat on Keith's head was due to a mistake, but he wears it well, I think. 

I'm a lover of black dogs, so there was no way I could do a project about Keith without his dog. (Keith's dog looks nothing like mine, but I love it anyway. (Mine included a black lab and currently a Standard Poodle.)

This is my rendition of Keith and a friend lifting high their hope for love to fill the world. This was the first time I used acrylic metallic markers, but they worked ok. Not as scary as I thought they'd be and gave a happy glow to the hearts!  

So glad you brought this artist to our attention, Elisabeth. The class was a quick one, but the interest in Keith's art remains. I'm glad we get classes on a wide range of artists from well-known classics to less-known contemporaries.
