I created a mood board for the song "The Gift" by Storefront Church. The song itself has stylistic references to 1960s music, which create a strong feeling of nostalgia. It's best known for being in the soundtrack to the Netflix series The Queen's Gambit. 

That series is notable for its use of colour, so I drew on it to create the palette, but also consciously tried to avoid direct references. I researched mid-century book covers and chose a thin, italic serif typeface to evoke that era.

Overall, I tried to illustrate themes of loss, memory, and the struggle to be free of social expectations - a bit heavy for one mood board, but I enjoyed making it!
