The Cat's Meow Halloween

The Cat's Meow Halloween - student project

I went with a Halloween Cat theme. Thanks for the wonderful class. I look forward to you making more pattern classes for Illustrator. Illustrator is my preferred program to make patterns in.

I enjoyed the class. I really enjoy classes that show other's work flow and tips on how others create. I created along with the class although mostly it was a refresher for me. I will tell you that I learned that you could create an artboard using a square or rectangle by going to Object>Artboards>Convert. I definitely will use that. I knew about the scaling a pattern with the tilda key but like you mentioned I often just fumbled trying to get the order correct. I did get it down in this class. I also don't use the Magic Wand tool to locate colors. I don't know why. It's much better than going Select>Same>Fill Color. The class had lots of good tips.

I took your advice and switched some of the hats direction. I don't think it makes too much difference. I would have to change colors all together for it to make a big difference. I also reversed the color of the stripes and I think it still makes very little difference. I'm interested in what you think, do you think it makes a noticable difference? Anyway, it was fun to try.
