Oooooh I had fun with this class! I did the project a bunch of times as I can't get enough of drawing ALL THE COLLECTIONS, but this big 11x17 poster was a compilation of several days of drawing at our local park. I would go out for about an hour each time, and do quick ink sketches of things that caught my eye. A few weeks later VOILA! I won't post all the rough sketches (sooo many), but here is a picture of me drawing in the park -- a local photographer happened to be doing their art as well, snapped a pic, and sent it to me. Very thoughtful! And here is my finished poster! I have played around with adding colour but just can't quite get it to look right... So will leave black and white for now.

Really enjoyed this style of drawing and hoping to do an entire 'Curiosity Collection' of posters featuring local parks, libraries, thrift stores - thanks for this wonderful class!!! 

 

PS here was one of my fave illustrations that didn't quite make it to the final, but I really loved it and trying to think of another way to use it...
