I got into the 30s cartoons basically after I played Cuphead and since then I've been doodling different characters from time to time. So, this class was a great opportunity for me to work on some of my sketches and move it into the digital world.

I don't know why but a sun with a face, kinda like a mystic one, has always given me the chills, so I decided to make my own version of it. Inspired by the spooky style of Fleischer studios and Cuphead, I came up with few sketches.

 

I decided to vectorise the illustration but I may redraw it in Photoshop to make it look old school and more real for these times. I'm also thinking about adding arms (something like in the above sketches), to make the sun even more evil :D And I can't wait to animate it!
