I've been working with illustrator for quite a while now, but I wanted to learn to use After Effects to spice up some of my typography and lettering designs and add some movement. After quickly getting lost in the program by myself, I decided a beginners course would be very helpful! 

The graphics style of this course doesn't really suit what I would use as a portfolio intro, so once I'd completed the videos, I decided to change it from a portfolio intro to a little promo/ad reel for a made up casino.

The initial transition reminded me of boat waves so I've gone with a Miami or Venice style vibe!

 

Thanks for the great course Hongshu, I feel like I understand the basics now and can start to experiment with my own designs without being tremendously overwhelmed by all the different effects in AE!
